As Claims Supervisor, you will be responsible for implementing procedures and preventive measures; evaluating and processing of claims and initiating continuous process enhancement of claims management.
What you’ll do (your mission)
- Ensures accurate and timely adjudication and settlement of claims and other cargo related complaints filed by clients.
- Certifies correctness of claims investigation report. Validates rightful claimant party, amount of claim, completeness and correctness of documents, correct entries in the CIR, correct charges and account codes.
- Responsible for screening and validating insurance related claims and facilitate coordination to Insurer, Insurance Brokers and Surveyor / Adjusters.
- Ensures that all incidents of cargo damages more than policy deductible are reported to insurance company/broker/surveyor on time.
- Monitors status of insurance claims.
- Ensures insurance settlement collections are on time.
- Meets with Insurer / Insurance Broker / Surveyor on a regular basis to discuss any concerns with respect to our insurance recovery.
- Ensures claim liability notices and collection letters to the negligent third party are served on time.
- Regularly monitors the observance of Claims policies and resolution.
- Monitors and satisfactorily addresses all claims related inquiries and communications as well as all other information requirements that may be requested of the unit from time to time.
- Ensures that claims are properly attended, i.e. updates to customers are made, denial letters served, settlements made on time within timeline, and CIRs approved by approvers within timeline.
- Meets regularly with claims staffs to discuss any claims related issues.
- Formulates and consolidates reports.
- Recommends procedure enhancement to Operations with the objective of claims and damages prevention to ultimately improve services.
- Conducts inspection of warehouses.
- Supervises and oversees implementation of approved action plans for prevention of claim recurrence.
- Handles proper accounting of receivables from Insurance.
- Performs other duties as may be assigned.

Educational Background
- Graduate of any business course
Professional Experience
- At least 2 years work-related experience.
- Preferably with background in insurance claims
