Civil Inspector / Engineer – Horizontal Works
Job Summary:
The Civil Inspector/Engineer for Horizontal Works is responsible for monitoring and inspecting all site development activities to ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect horizontal works including earthworks, roadworks, pavement, drainage systems, sewer and water lines, and utilities.
- Verify line and grade, elevations, compaction levels, and dimensions based on approved drawings.
- Monitor excavation, backfilling, subgrade preparation, and asphalt or concrete paving works.
- Ensure materials used comply with approved material submittals and project specifications.
- Witness field and laboratory tests (e.g., compaction, concrete, asphalt).
- Identify non-conforming works and coordinate corrective actions with contractors.
- Prepare daily inspection reports, progress updates, and punch lists.
- Coordinate with project engineers, surveyors, QA/QC, and consultants.
- Ensure works are executed in accordance with safety and quality standards.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of Civil Engineering (Licensed is an advantage)
- Minimum of 2–5 years experience in horizontal infrastructure projects
- Knowledgeable in roads, drainage, and site development standards
- Able to read and interpret civil and structural drawings
- Willing to be assigned in Batangas
