Job summary

MEBS CONSTRUCTION in Davao City is seeking a competent Civil Engineer to join our Engineering and Construction team. The role welcomes both registered and non-registered graduates with relevant experience, focusing on building construction, site supervision, and project coordination.

The ideal candidate will handle BOQ/BOM preparation, cost estimates, and project documentation, perform site inspections, monitor progress, and ensure compliance with the National Building Code and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
• Registered Civil Engineer with PRC license preferred but not required.
• Non-registered Civil Engineering graduates with relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
• At least two years of relevant experience in construction, site supervision, or cost estimation is preferred.
• Experience in residential, commercial, warehouse, or similar building projects is an advantage.
• Knowledge of construction methods, structural works, materials, quantity takeoff, and project implementation.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Excel, and other engineering or project-management software.
• Experience with STAAD.Pro, ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, or similar software is an advantage.
• Familiarity with Philippines National Building Code and safety standards.
• Strong technical, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication, coordination, and documentation abilities.
• Willing to conduct regular site inspections and work in active construction environments.
• Must be based in Davao City or willing to relocate.

About the Role

We are looking for a competent and dependable Civil Engineer to join our Engineering and Construction team in Davao City.

This position is open to both Registered Civil Engineers and non-registered Civil Engineering graduates with relevant experience. The ideal candidate has a strong background in building construction, site supervision, project coordination, quantity estimation, and technical documentation.

Experience in residential housing, commercial buildings, warehouses, Bill of Quantities (BOQ), Bill of Materials (BOM), and project costing is a strong advantage.

Applicants must currently reside in Davao City or be willing to relocate or be assigned there.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and interpret architectural, structural, civil, and construction plans.

• Assist in planning, coordinating, and implementing residential, commercial, and other building projects.

• Conduct site inspections, site assessments, measurements, and project evaluations.

• Monitor daily construction activities, manpower, materials, equipment, and work progress.

• Ensure that construction works follow approved plans, specifications, schedules, and quality standards.

• Monitor quality-control procedures and ensure that construction materials and completed works meet project standards.

• Help ensure compliance with the National Building Code of the Philippines, applicable engineering standards, local regulations, and occupational safety requirements.

• Maintain organized records of drawings, reports, permits, inspections, and other project documents.

• Perform other engineering and construction-related duties assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.

• Registered Civil Engineer with a valid Professional Regulation Commission license is preferred but not required.

• Non-registered Civil Engineering graduates with relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
