Job summary

KDCI Outsourcing is seeking an experienced CAD Drafter to develop accurate drawings, designs, and project documentation for engineering projects, including civil and electrical drafting using AutoCAD and MicroStation. The role requires strong attention to detail, a collaborative approach with engineering and delivery teams, and the ability to perform field surveys and collect data for design activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• At least 3 years of Civil Design and/or electrical drafting experience.
• Hands-on experience using CAD systems such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, or equivalent drafting software.
• Familiarity with civil design codes, regulations, industry best practices, and performance standards.
• Ability to prepare detailed layouts, sections, arrangements, drawings, plans, and other technical documentation.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications and translate engineering requirements into accurate drawings and designs.
• Experience producing as-built drawings and documentation is preferred.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and high-quality technical documentation.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet project deadlines.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with engineering and project delivery teams.
• Current Class C driver's license.
• Ability and willingness to travel when required.

Responsibilities

• Perform design calculations and drafting tasks for various projects, ensuring accuracy and adherence to technical specifications.
• Prepare detailed layouts, sections, and arrangements based on design requirements and project specifications.
• Assist in preparing cost estimates and design calculations to support engineering tasks.
• Prepare reports, maps, drawings, and plans required for the successful execution of projects.
• Utilize CAD software such as AutoCAD and/or MicroStation to create detailed drawings and design documentation.
• Maintain expertise in CAD tools and apply them to deliver the appropriate level of detail for assignments.
• Conduct field surveys and inspections to collect accurate data for design activities, quality control, and change management.
• Produce as-built design documentation based on field data and observations.
• Undertake other duties as directed, commensurate with skills and classification.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure documentation supports effective project coordination and delivery.
