Job summary

SMEC seeks a capable CAD Draftsman in Manila to support civil and structural projects. You will prepare 2D & 3D CAD drawings, manage all CAD documentation, and ensure accuracy by cross-checking dimensions and elevations against sketches and notes from the Planning team.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and at least 3 years in drafting, with strong AutoCAD/Civil 3D skills and solid written/verbal communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of drafting experience or similar role.
• Strong proficiency in design software AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of file management and administrative procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare engineering 2D & 3D CAD drawings including volume calculations.
• In-charge of CAD project documentation (soft and hard copies).
• Study design sketches and carry out instructions from Planning team/Design engineer.
• Plan design drawings: determine details, scale, sheet sequence, and number of sheets.
• Discuss drawings with CAD Manager and obtain approval.
• Maintain CAD files for check prints and drawings in chronological order.
