Job summary

UNICEF Philippines invites qualified national and international consultants to join a roster of Child Protection specialists. The roster supports policy development, systems-strengthening, facilitation, and research at national and sub-national levels.

Consultants may be engaged on an as-needed basis for policy development, capacity-building, and mentoring activities. The roster remains valid for 30 months, with engagements based on programme needs, funding, and consultant expertise.

Qualifications

• Advanced university degree in Social Work, Sociology, Development Studies, Public Administration, Public Policy, Human Rights, Law, Psychology, Education, International Development, or related field.
• 5 years of progressively responsible experience in child protection, social protection, social welfare, human rights, public policy, governance, or related fields.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, revise, or update child protection policies, strategies, guidelines, standards, protocols, operational procedures, manuals, and toolkits.
• Facilitate multi-stakeholder consultations, workshops, and strategic planning processes including with children and young people.
• Prepare technical reports, concept notes, discussion papers, and knowledge products.
• Document good practices, lessons learned, and innovations in child protection programming.
