Job summary

Save the Children Philippines is seeking a Child Participation and Partnership Officer to strengthen meaningful child participation and partnerships across health and nutrition programs in the CAH portfolio. The role collaborates with hospitals, LGUs, CSOs, and communities to deliver integrated services for mothers, children, and adolescents.

The CPPO will support discharge and follow-up pathways, coordinate across programs, and ensure responsive, rights‑based program design aligned with SCP

Job Description

The ChildParticipation and Partnership Officer (CPPO) is part of the Child andAdolescent Health (CAH) portfolio, contributing to the delivery of integrated,inclusive, and resilient health and nutrition systems for children andadolescents. The rolesupports the implementation of CAH strategies by strengthening meaningfulchild participation, strategic partnerships, and coordinated service delivery across the continuum of care—from pregnancy through early childhood and beyond.

The CPPO may be assigned to supportspecific projects within the CAH Portfolio based on program priorities andstaffing requirements. For the current assignment, the post contributes to theHealthy Start in Life for Preterm and Low Birth Weight Babies Project,supporting the development, operationalization and institutionalization ofintegrated discharge and follow-up pathways and effective coordination betweenhospitals, local government units (LGUs), primary health care providers andcommunities.

The CPPOprovides technical and coordination support to ensure that:

  • children’s andcaregivers’ voices are meaningfully integrated into program design,implementation, and monitoring, aligned with Article 12 of the UNCRC;
  • partnerships withhospitals, LGUs, CSOs, and communities are effectively established andmanaged to support continuity of care; and
  • program implementationacross CAH initiatives is coherent, adaptive, and aligned with SCP’sorganizational priorities.

The role worksclosely with program, MEAL, and partnership teams, and engages directly withchildren, families (including pregnant and lactating women), volunteers, andcommunity stakeholders.

Requirements

Essential skills,knowledge or experience

  • At least 2 years ofexperience in partnership management, community engagement, or child-focusedprogramming
  • Experience working withLGUs, health facilities, CSOs, and community stakeholders
  • Understanding of childrights-based approaches and meaningful child participation
  • Experience in programimplementation, coordination, and reporting
  • Strong communication,facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to manage multipletasks and work in dynamic environments

Desirable skills,knowledge or experience

  • Experience in health andnutrition programs, particularly maternal and newborn health
  • Familiarity with referralsystems, service delivery pathways, or health systems strengthening
  • Experience in MEAL systemsand participatory approaches
  • Experience in advocacy,campaigns, or community mobilization

Required educationand qualifications (certifications,licenses, accreditations, etc.)
