The Role

We are seeking a visionary Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to define and lead NDS’s technology roadmap. This role goes beyond managing systems, as you will shape the future of our data platforms, lead a growing tech team, and drive innovation at the intersection of analytics, automation, and smart-city intelligence.

As CTO, you will be a hands-on leader who balances high-level strategy with practical execution. You will oversee all aspects of our tech stack, ensure scalability and security, and align technical solutions with business goals.

Key Responsibilities

Technology Leadership

• Define and execute NDS’s long-term technology strategy.
• Represent technology at the executive level, aligning with business and operational goals.
• Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies (AI/ML, big data platforms, predictive analytics).

Team Building & Management

• Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing technical team.
• Lead recruitment, training, and performance management of engineers and developers.
• Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning.

Platform Development & Optimization

• Oversee development of scalable data engineering pipelines and analytics systems.
• Refine and optimize proprietary algorithms for traffic and mobility data.
• Design and maintain a centralized, secure traffic data database.
• Optimize and integrate tools (e.g., Airtable, Zapier, Make, APIs) for workflow automation.

Infrastructure & Security

• Ensure platforms are secure, efficient, and resilient.
• Drive best practices in data governance, cybersecurity, and compliance.
• Manage vendor relationships, budgets, and system scalability.

Skills & Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience as a CTO, Tech Lead, or Senior Engineering Manager.
• Strong background in data engineering, automation, and API development.
• Experience in scaling tech teams and managing full software development lifecycles.
• Expertise in programming tools (e.g., Python, Node.js, cloud platforms).
• Strong executive presence with the ability to communicate tech strategy to stakeholders.
• Experience with Airtable customization, Zapier, Make, or equivalent integrations.
• Background in analytics for traffic, mobility, logistics, or infrastructure industries.
• Experience in developing custom dashboards, scoring models, or predictive algorithms.
• Familiarity with AI/ML applications in data analysis and automation.
