Job Summary:
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is responsible for overseeing the company’s day-to-day operational functions, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and profitability across all departments. The COO drives strategic execution, streamlines processes, and ensures that operational goals align with the overall business objectives. This role requires strong leadership, decision-making, and analytical skills to enhance company performance and maintain compliance with industry standards.
Daily Activities:
Morning briefing & planning: Conduct daily alignment meetings with department heads to discuss priorities, goals, and operational updates. Review key performance reports to track operational efficiency and progress against set targets. Assess daily resource allocation, ensuring adequate manpower and support for operations.
Operational oversight & execution: Monitor ongoing operations across different departments, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to SLAs. Oversee collection activities, ensuring alignment with company strategies and compliance regulations. Address urgent operational bottlenecks and approve escalations requiring executive decision-making. Ensure that company processes and procedures are followed to maintain efficiency and consistency.
Compliance & risk monitoring: Review compliance reports and identify areas requiring corrective action. Coordinate with the legal and compliance teams to address any risk-related concerns. Ensure all activities align with regulatory and industry best practices.
Interdepartmental coordination & stakeholder engagement: Facilitate collaboration between operations, finance, HR, IT, and other departments to enhance efficiency. Engage with key stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and regulatory bodies, to maintain smooth business relationships. Attend strategic meetings and guide process improvements and innovation.
Performance review & end-of-day assessment: Conduct performance checks to identify areas of improvement for operational strategies. Review reports from department heads to assess daily operational achievements and challenges. Prepare recommendations for process optimization and action items for the following day.
Weekly Activities:
Performance Review & Strategy Development: Evaluate department performance against KPIs and company targets. Adjust operational strategies based on data insights and trends. Conduct weekly performance deep dives with department managers.
Compliance & Risk Management: Audit operational activities to ensure compliance with policies and regulations. Implement corrective actions for compliance violations. Conduct refresher training sessions for managers on compliance best practices.
Process Optimization & Innovation: Identify inefficiencies in workflows and propose process improvements. Implement at least one process improvement initiative per quarter. Work with IT and department heads to leverage technology for operational efficiency.
People Management & Development: Conduct leadership training and mentorship programs for department managers. Monitor employee engagement and retention strategies. Address workforce planning needs with HR, including hiring and training initiatives.
Financial Oversight & Business Growth: Review budget allocations and ensure cost-effective operations. Collaborate with finance to forecast revenue impact and optimize financial strategies. Align operational objectives with long-term business growth plans.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement: Strengthen relationships with clients, vendors, and industry partners. Address escalated concerns from clients and stakeholders. Ensure timely submission of reports and compliance documentation to key stakeholders.

Provide regular updates and strategic recommendations to the CEO.
Lead, mentor, and develop department heads and managers to build a high-performing team.
Ensure effective workforce planning, talent development, and succession planning.
Drive a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Ensure all operations comply with legal regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.
Work closely with the legal and compliance teams to mitigate operational risks.
Monitor and enforce adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and quality standards.
Analyze existing workflows and identify opportunities for automation and efficiency gains.
Implement process improvements to enhance cost-effectiveness and operational performance.
Leverage technology and data analytics to drive informed decision-making.
