Responsibilities

• Assist the Captain/Master in safety management system maintenance.
• Oversee deck department repairs and assign tasks to crew.
• Brief and orient newly hired crew on safety and duties.
• Conduct safety drills and respond to emergencies onboard.
• Monitor deck stores consumption and report restocking needs.
• Oversee loading and unloading of cargo for orderly operations.
• Ensure pollution prevention equipment is ready for use.
