Job summary

AyalaLand Malls, Inc. is seeking a Chief Engineer to lead the engineering and technical operations of a premier mall in Metro Manila. You will oversee electrical, mechanical, and building systems to ensure safe, reliable performance and drive energy efficiency, safety, and compliance.

You will manage a skilled engineering team, coordinate with contractors, and steer preventive maintenance, project delivery, and budget planning to support day-to-day operations and long-term business goals.

Qualifications

• Licensed Engineer with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 6 years' solid experience in electro-mechanical industry and property management.
• Strong knowledge of local regulations, building codes, and compliance requirements.
• Proven experience in managing technical teams, contractors, and large-scale facilities.
• Excellent leadership, project management, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications and engineering/project management tools (SAP, CADD, etc.).
• Action-oriented, collaborative, and committed to operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Oversee preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance of all building systems.
• Develop and execute Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) schedules to maximize uptime.
• Optimize energy and water management systems.
• Manage technical resources and respond to merchant/operations engineering needs.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, fire safety, and environmental regulations.
• Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments.
• Maintain emergency systems and serve as the primary responder for technical emergencies.
• Implement energy-saving initiatives aligned with green building policies.
• Prepare and manage operating and capital budgets.
• Lead and develop the engineering team through coaching and training.
