Job summary

Ayala Malls is seeking a Chief Building Engineer to lead site engineering operations, oversee building systems maintenance, and drive sustainability initiatives across our facilities in Bacolod City. This on-site role demands strong leadership and hands-on management of MEP and critical infrastructure.

The successful candidate will manage budgets, vendor contracts, CAPEX projects, and mentor the engineering team, ensuring safety compliance and high uptime in a demanding commercial environment.

Qualifications

• Licensed Engineer with a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 4 to 6 years solid experience in electro-mechanical systems and commercial property or facilities management.
• Strong leadership skills in managing engineering teams, contractors, and concurrent capital projects.
• Solid knowledge of local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental compliance.
• Proficient in computer applications, MS Office, and engineering or project management tools (SAP, CADD).

Responsibilities

• Oversee overall operations and maintenance of building systems including MEP, HVAC, and critical infrastructure.
• Implement Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) schedules and optimize energy and water consumption.
• Ensure strict compliance with national building codes, fire safety standards, and local environmental regulations.
• Prepare and manage operational budgets, vendor contracts, and CAPEX projects
• Lead, mentor, and supervise the engineering team and third-party facility maintenance contractors
• Serve as primary technical responder during facility emergencies and ensure high operational uptime
