Career Opportunity: Chemical Technologist / Technician
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.
- Conduct chemical and physical laboratory tests to assist scientists in making qualitative and quantitative analyses.
- Compile and interpret test data to determine product quality or process efficiency.
- Prepare chemical solutions and reagents for laboratory use.
- Monitor chemical processes and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Record and maintain detailed logs of experiments and procedures.
- Assist in the development and improvement of chemical manufacturing processes.
- Perform quality control tests on raw materials and finished products.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the lab or production area.
- Follow all company safety protocols and procedures for handling hazardous materials.
Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of chemistry principles and laboratory techniques.
- Experience with lab instruments such as spectrometers, chromatographs, pH meters, etc.
- Knowledge of safety practices and regulatory standards (e.g., OSHA, EPA).
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
- Computer proficiency for data entry and analysis (e.g., Microsoft Excel, LIMS).
