Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly knowledgeable and experienced Chat Support Specialist to join our virtual team, providing real-time support to patients and dental practice staff. The ideal candidate is either a licensed dentist with an orthodontic background or someone with at least 5-10 years of hands-on experience working in an orthodontic practice. This role requires exceptional communication and typing skills, a strong understanding of orthodontic treatments and terminology, and a compassionate approach to patient interaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide prompt, accurate, and empathetic responses to patient inquiries via live chat
  • Assist dental practice teams with orthodontic-related questions and administrative processes
  • Educate patients about orthodontic treatments, procedures, and general oral health
  • Collaborate with the practice’s in-office team to ensure seamless communication and support
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA and data privacy regulations
  • Document all interactions in the practice management system accurately

Qualifications:

Required:

  • A Dentist with an Orthodontic background or
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in an orthodontic practice
  • Proven experience in customer support, front desk, treatment coordination, or similar roles
  • Excellent written communication and typing skills
  • In-depth knowledge of orthodontic terminology, procedures, and patient care
  • Tech-savvy and experienced with dental software and chat platforms
  • Ability to multitask, stay organized, and remain calm in high-volume situations
