Job summary

Maynilad Water Services, Inc. in Metro Manila is seeking a qualified Accountant with CPA licensure to join the Finance team. The role focuses on validating SAP journal entries for revenue and receivables, and reconciling BI reports with GL balances across Business Areas.

You will prepare monthly financial reports, support external audits, and ensure accurate documentation for contractor billings, accruals, and NRB transactions in a dynamic utility environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of BS Accountancy.
• Licensed CPA.
• 3–5 years of relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensures daily closing and transfer of all reconciliation keys created in SAP.
• Prepares monthly financial reports and schedules.
• Provides accurate audit schedules to external auditors and stakeholders.
• Checks and validates supporting documents for contractors' billings, cash advances, petty cash liquidations, and other claims.
• Prepares and posts monthly journal entries for accruals of earned values, rentals and other expenses.
• Ensures proper recording of Non-regulated Business transactions.

Job description

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Validates and analyzes journal entries entered by Business Areas in SAP for revenue and accounts receivable
2. Performs monthly reconciliation of Business Intelligence (BI) reports against general ledger balances per Business Area
3. Ensures daily closing and transfer of all reconciliation keys created in SAP
4. Prepares monthly financial reports and schedules
5. Provides accurate and reliable audit schedules to external auditors and other stakeholders
6. Checks and validates the accuracy and completeness of supporting documents for contractor's billings, cash advances, petty cash fund liquidations and other claims of Business Areas
7. Prepares and posts monthly journal entries for the accrual of earned values, rental, repairs and maintenance, water consumption and other expenses of Business Areas
8. Ensures proper and accurate recording of Non-regulated Business (NRB) transactions of Business Areas

QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS MINIMUM EDUCATION

1. Graduate of BS Accountancy
2. Licensed CPA
