Job summary

Universal Hotels and Resorts, Inc. is seeking a Finance Manager to oversee casino accounting, financial reporting, and compliance with gaming regulations. You will lead the accounting team, ensure accuracy of records, and provide strategic financial insights to executive leadership.

You will supervise the Casino Accounting group, coordinate audits, and drive improvements in processes while maintaining GAAP/IFRS adherence and robust internal controls in a dynamic hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA and CMA will be an advantage.
• 3–5 years of progressive accounting/financial management experience.
• Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Supervisory or management experience.
• Familiarity with GAAP/IFRS.

Responsibilities

• Manage all accounting functions within the casino, including financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and audits.
• Oversee the accounting team and ensure accuracy of financial records.
• Maintain compliance with gaming laws and internal policies.
• Provide financial insights and reports to executive leadership.
• Supervise Casino Accounting group and coordinate audits.
• Ensure proper and timely recording of revenues, expenses, assets and liabilities.
• Ensure integrity of casino financial reports and adherence to GAAP/IFRS.
• Monitor operational procedures for financial compliance and reporting.
• Attend internal and external audits; train and evaluate staff.
• Maintain and improve accounting systems and processes for data accuracy.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and gaming-related reports.
• Disseminate casino financial reports to management and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with department heads to identify issues and improvements.
• Generate ad hoc financial reports to support decisions.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
