Job summary

INGCOPH TRADERS Inc. in the Philippines is seeking a friendly, customer-focused cashier to join our checkout team.

Responsibilities include welcoming customers, accurately scanning and processing purchases, handling payments, issuing receipts, processing refunds, answering product questions, assisting with heavy items, maintaining a tidy checkout area, and following cash-handling and loss-prevention procedures; you may be temporarily assigned to other branches to provide support.

• Greet customers warmly and professionally as they approach the checkout area.
• Accurately scan, price, and process purchases using a point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Handle various payment methods, including cash, credit/debit cards, gift cards, and store credits.
• Issue receipts, process refunds and exchanges in accordance with store policies.
• Answer customer inquiries related to products, promotions, warranties, or store layout.
• Assist customers with bulky or heavy items by coordinating with floor staff for support.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area, including keeping promotional materials and impulse items stocked.
• Follow all cash handling, register balancing, and loss prevention procedures.
• Report any equipment issues, suspicious activity, or customer incidents to supervisors.
• Promote store loyalty programs, warranties, or special financing when applicable.
• Carry out other tasks as assigned by the superior.
• May be temporarily assigned to another branch to provide support, if required
