Responsibilities
- Process transactions: Scan items, bag them, and take payment
- Provide customer service: Be friendly and courteous, and answer questions about prices, promotions, and store policies
- Handle payments: Accept cash, credit cards, and debit cards, and make change
- Issue receipts: Provide customers with a receipt for their purchase
- Handle returns and exchanges: Process returns and exchanges in a timely manner
- Balance cash drawers: Ensure the cash drawer is accurate and balance it at the end of the shift
- Generate reports: Create reports for credit and debit sales
- Resolve customer issues: Help customers with complaints or issues
