Job summary

The Store Cashier handles daily front-end financial transactions, manages the Point of Sale (POS) system, and ensures the absolute accuracy of daily sales revenue while providing a professional, welcoming checkout experience for customers.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

1.Transaction Processing

• Accurately and efficiently handle cash, credit card, and digital payment transactions using the Point of Sale (POS) system.

2.Customer Service

• Greet customers warmly, assist with basic inquiries, and provide a pleasant, professional checkout experience.
• Count and verify the cash drawer at the beginning and end of every shift; ensure all sales receipts, invoices, and balances match perfectly.

4.Documentation & Invoicing

• Issue accurate receipts, invoices, and change to customers. Maintain proper filing of daily sales reports.

5.Inventory & Order Support

• Coordinate with Sales Specialists and Warehouse staff to verify item availability, batching (e.g., for tiles/finishing materials), and correct pricing before finalizing sales.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Experience: At least 1 year of experience as a cashier, retail associate, or in a front-facing customer service role is highly preferred.

Core Competencies:

• Proficiency with POS systems, basic mathematical calculations, and cash management.
• Experience with construction or hardware retail tools is a plus.
