Job summary

GECO Asia Pte. Ltd is seeking a detail-oriented Cash & Bank Reconciliation Specialist to join the Finance team in Muntinlupa City. The role covers daily bank reconciliation, validation of cash transactions, and related journal entries, ensuring compliance with policies and SLAs.

The ideal candidate has 3–4 years in cash & banking or GL, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, D365, or Oracle. Onsite work setup in Metro Manila is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/College Degree in Finance, Accountancy, or a related field.
• 3–4 years of experience in Cash & Banking, GL, or related accounting functions.
• Experience with SAP, D365, or Oracle.
• Experience working with different banks and knowledge of basic banking products and services.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
• Familiarity with Copilot and AI/automation tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Able to work effectively in a structured environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily bank statement reconciliation and validation using bank portals, automated feeds, MT940/CAMT files, Kyriba, or approved systems.
• Match bank transactions with book transactions and investigate discrepancies.
• Identify, document, and follow up on reconciling items.
• Escalate aged, material, or high-risk items to the appropriate teams.
• Prepare and post cash and bank-related accounting entries, including bank charges, interest, fund transfers, FX differences, refunds, and other direct bank transactions.
• Ensure missing entries are promptly recorded with complete supporting documentation.
• Coordinate with AP, AR, GL, Local Finance, and Treasury to resolve open items.
• Maintain accurate reconciliation files, journal entries, approvals, and audit documentation.
• Ensure completeness and accuracy of payments, receipts, and GL postings before reconciliation finalization.
