Job summary

Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Manila is seeking a 2D Echo technologist to perform noninvasive ultrasonic studies of the heart, including valves, chambers, and vessels. You will operate the echocardiography equipment and assist in stress testing to help assess cardiac conditions.

The ideal candidate graduated from an Allied Medical Health program and has at least 1 year of related experience or certification in 2D Echocardiography, with strong attention to patient care and accuracy in imaging.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Allied Medical Health course is required.
• 1 year related experience or certification in 2D Echocardiography is required.
• Ability to operate noninvasive cardiac imaging equipment with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Perform 2D Echo studies and stress tests as prescribed.
• Capture high-quality images of heart valves, chambers and vessels.
• Collaborate with physicians to interpret results and determine next steps.

Job description

Principal Responsibility

2D Echo technologist use noninvasive testing equipment that perform procedures on patients such as ultrasounds to photograph and diagnose diseases in the cardiac organs of the body, primarily the heart valves, chambers and vessels. Cardiac echo techs also perform stress test procedures on patients who are suffering high blood pressure or other diseases that may be caused by increased stress levels. They must be able to effectively operate the machinery and tell through a photo taken whether or not the patient should seek treatment for diseases or disorders of the heart. A cardiac echo technician is not a doctor, but often works alongside cardiac surgeons to perform standard procedure tests to analyze and determine the necessary steps that need to be taken for a patient's heart health.
