Job summary

Luxoft is seeking an experienced QA/Test engineer to work on Calypso-based testing for the Calypso trading platform (v16+). The role covers Rates, Credit, Fixed Income, Derivatives, and Backoffice across end-to-end functional, regression, UAT, and batch/EOD testing, collaborating with BA, development, environment, and operations teams through release cycles.

Qualifications

• 4–12 years of experience in software testing/QA.
• Hands-on Calypso testing experience on Calypso v16 or higher.
• Strong understanding of Calypso trade lifecycle, static data, and relevant modules.
• Experience with Calypso EOD/batch processing and scheduled tasks/jobs.
• Experience in functional and regression testing of trading/markets applications.
• Knowledge across Fixed Income, Rates/Credit Derivatives, and Backoffice.
• Experience validating trade, position, cash, reports, extracts, and reconciliation results.
• Ability to analyze test failures and reconciliation breaks and identify root causes.
• Strong test-case design, execution, defect management, and release testing experience.
• Ability to work in tight, release-driven regression cycles.

Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and maintain functional, regression, and UAT test cases for Calypso.
• Test trade capture, pricing, lifecycle events, settlements, confirmations, accounting, and backoffice processing.
• Validate EOD and batch processing, including tasks, engines, logs, and statuses.
• Test market data setup and consumption and their impact on pricing and reports.
• Test Fixed Income products and related reporting and reconciliation flows.
• Test Rates/Credit Derivatives covering lifecycle and valuations.
• Reconciliate trade, position, cash, and reports across Calypso and downstream systems.
• Analyse release-to-release and environment differences across outputs.
• Raise defects and support triage through closure.
• Execute and monitor Jenkins jobs for regression packs and batch runs.
• Use SQL to validate trade attributes, data, and post-batch results.
• Use Linux for log analysis and environment troubleshooting.
• Support test planning, coverage, and sign-off activities.
• Collaborate with BA, development, and operations during releases.
