Job summary

INTELASSIST INC. in the Philippines is seeking a Design/Engineering Technician to prepare engineering and construction plan documents for natural gas projects using AutoCAD, 2D/3D, and related drafting.

Onsite onboarding for two weeks, then full remote work. Night shift Mon-Fri 9pm–6am US timezone. Candidates should hold an AAS in Mechanical or Civil Eng and have at least 3 years of related experience in gas design and drafting.

Qualifications

• AAS degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering or something similar.
• Minimum of 3 years related experience in natural gas design and drafting.
• Hands-on experience with AutoCAD, Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Self-starter, highly motivated, team player with strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to interact with colleagues, senior engineers, project managers and construction personnel
• AutoCAD Map 3D or Civil 3D is a plus
• Bluebeam experience is a plus
• Natural gas, piping or similar mechanical engineering background
• Must have strong English speaking / communication skills preferred.
• Background in US Clients is a plus.
• Background in Geodetic Engineering/ GIS Analyst is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Base Map Drafting
• Draft Service lines and labels based on Service Cards, SPIPE Sheets
• Layout Sheets - Provide Correct notes, Plans, Scope, Overall Sheets based on records like GIS Sketch/Scope Document
• Tie-Ins - Draft Correct fittings based on tie-ins design from Engineers
• Incorporation of corrections, comments, modifications of the Base map given by Engr/POC
• Provide correct scope of work (copy from GIS Sketch), Permitting & Environment Requirements, Corrosion Design
• Details Sheets - Design tie-ins (we design these), correct numbering that corresponds to the BOM, Standard details should corresponds to the tie-ins details

Job Description:

The Design/Engineering Technician is responsible for preparing engineering and construction plan documents for a variety of projects. These include natural gas utility, transmission, and station facilities. Associated design and drafting for these projects will be performed utilizing primarily AutoCAD software products and can be in 2D or 3D depending on project requirements. This is a fast paced, dynamic position that will require working both independently and as a member of a team of professionals moving projects from concept through construction phases.
