Job Summary
We are seeking a detail‑oriented and technically skilled CAD / Engineering Technician to support our US‑based engineering and manufacturing teams. The role is based in Cebu City, working onsite with a local team and remotely with facilities in Decatur, IL.
Key Responsibilities
- CAD & Design Support
- Create, modify, and maintain 2D and 3D models and drawings using SolidWorks.
- Generate detailed manufacturing drawings with dimensions, tolerances, BOMs, and notes.
- Revise drawings based on engineering changes and production feedback.
- Ensure drawing standards, file structure, and revision control are consistently followed.
- Create pneumatic and hydraulic schematics.
- Laser Programming & Manufacturing Support
- Program laser cutting machines for the Decatur, IL facility (remote support).
- Optimize nesting, material utilization, and cut strategies for efficiency and cost.
- Collaborate with US manufacturing teams to troubleshoot and improve cut quality and throughput.
- Support the development and standardization of laser programming practices.
- Documentation & Customer Support Materials
- Develop and update customer manuals, installation guides, and technical documentation including operating SOPs.
- Ensure consistency between engineering drawings, product configurations, and customer‑facing materials.
- Work cross‑functionally with engineering, sales, and marketing to improve clarity and usability of documentation.
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Support US‑based engineering, project management, and manufacturing teams.
- Participate in design reviews, project discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Communicate clearly across time zones and maintain responsiveness to project needs.
- Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve drawing efficiency, programming processes, and documentation standards.
- Support standardization of parts, assemblies, and workflows.
- Assist in developing best practices for CAD, ERP, and manufacturing integration.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Engineering Technology, Mechanical Design, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in CAD design (SolidWorks preferred).
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Familiarity with sheet metal design and fabrication processes.
