Job summary

SYSTRA is seeking a CAD Drafter to produce 2D documentation and design drawings aligned with ANZ standards and client specifications. The role involves creating clear, production-ready drawings from mark-ups and 3D models for civil, structural, or building services projects.

You will maintain drawing registers, perform CAD quality checks and coordinate across disciplines, while contributing to the development of drafting templates and standards within a global engineering environment.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of demonstrated AutoCAD experience on civil, structural or building services projects.
• Working knowledge of Australian or international drafting standards; AS 1100 series familiarity is advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret engineering sketches and produce production-quality drawings.
• Tertiary qualification in engineering, drafting or equivalent industry experience.
• Strong written and spoken English; ability to operate within ANZ business hours overlap.

Responsibilities

• Prepare general arrangement, layout, sectional and detail drawings from engineer mark-ups, sketches and 3D models.
• Maintain drawing registers, revisions and issue records per ANZ document control protocols.
• Perform CAD quality checks against project standards (CAD manual, layering, line weights, title blocks).
• Coordinate drawings across disciplines under the discipline lead's direction.
• Contribute to the offshore knowledge library with templates, blocks and drafting standards.
