We're moving to fill a detail-oriented CAD Drafter role to support the design and permitting process for an exciting new boutique property development project. This role involves converting hand-drawn 2D concepts and visual design references into accurate, professional CAD drawings ready for submission to local building authorities. The ideal candidate has strong CAD software skills, an eye for architectural detail, and the ability to translate a client's vision into precise technical drawings.
Convert client-provided 2D sketches and layout concepts into detailed CAD drawings
Interpret mood boards and visual design references to align technical drawings with the intended design vision
Produce accurate floor plans, elevations, and renderings suitable for building permit submission
Collaborate closely with the client to refine and revise drawings based on feedback
Ensure all drawings meet the technical standards required for permit applications
Iterate on designs as the project scope evolves
Maintain organized file versions and clear documentation of revisions
Communicate proactively on progress, questions, and timelines
Proven experience with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD or similar drafting tools)
Experience producing architectural or construction-related drawings (floor plans, elevations, renderings)
Ability to translate rough sketches and visual references into precise technical drawings
Strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly for permit-ready documentation
Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
Strong communication skills and responsiveness
Experience with hospitality, residential, or boutique property design
Familiarity with international building codes or permit processes
Background in architecture, engineering, or interior design
Comfortable working on a flexible, evolving project scope
