We're excited to be adding a detail-oriented CAD Drafter to back the design and permitting process for an exciting new boutique property development project. The role involves turning hand-drawn 2D concepts and visual design references into accurate, professional CAD drawings ready for submission to local building authorities. The right person brings strong CAD software skills, an eye for architectural detail, and the ability to carry a client's vision into precise technical drawings.
Turn client-provided 2D sketches and layout concepts into detailed CAD drawings
Read mood boards and visual design references so technical drawings line up with the intended design vision
Produce accurate floor plans, elevations, and renderings fit for building permit submission
Work closely with the client to refine and revise drawings off their feedback
See that all drawings meet the technical standards permit applications call for
Iterate on designs as the project scope shifts
Hold file versions tidy and revisions clearly documented
Speak up proactively on progress, questions, and timelines
Proven experience with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD or similar drafting tools)
Experience producing architectural or construction-related drawings (floor plans, elevations, renderings)
Ability to carry rough sketches and visual references into precise technical drawings
Strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly for permit-ready documentation
Dependable, precise, and able to work under your own direction
Strong communication skills and responsiveness
Experience with hospitality, residential, or boutique property design
Familiarity with international building codes or permit processes
Grounding in architecture, engineering, or interior design
At ease working on a flexible, shifting project scope
