Job summary

MicroSourcing is seeking a CAD CAM Mechanical Engineering Technician to create CNC cutting programs and support manufacturing. Onsite in Pasay City with night shift, full-time.

You will develop CAD/CAM programs, troubleshoot issues, update drawings, and collaborate with engineering, methods and production teams to drive manufacturability improvements.

Qualifications

• BS Mechanical Engineering or mechanical background.
• Master the CAD/CAM software parameters.
• Laser cutting CAM experience.
• 3D Modeling / 2D Drawing.
• Relevant experience in SolidWorks.
• Microsoft Office.
• Press bending experience (an asset).
• AutoCAD (an asset).
• At least 3 years of manufacturing/process experience with steel and aluminum.

Responsibilities

• Create CNC cutting programs using CAD/CAM software.
• Troubleshoot programming issues raised by production.
• Keep program & cutting list current.
• Continuous improvement: improve programming process and get feedback from production.
• Propose design changes based on manufacturing capabilities.
• Support engineering/methods teams with input on manufacturability.
• Coordinate with engineering, methods & production teams.
• Update, improve & revise products based on engineering changes.
• Execute 3D modeling and 2D drawings.
• Prepare fabrication drawings for our workshop.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Describe the qualifications the staff must have in terms of skills and capabilities
• BS Mechanical Engineering or mechanical background.
• Master the CAD/CAM software parameters.
• Laser cutting computer assistance manufacturing (CAM) experience.
• 3D Modeling / 2D Drawing.
• Relevant experience in SolidWorks.
• Microsoft Office.
• Press bending experience (an asset).
• Autocad (an asset).
• The candidate should have at least 3 years of experience in manufacturing process, and mechanical experience related to steel and aluminum.
