Job summary

PELOZDEN RSS INC. is seeking an experienced drafter to create detailed working and manufacturing drawings for cabinetry and joinery. You will interpret architectural plans, prepare CNC files and BOMs, and ensure accuracy for production and factory documentation.

You will review designs for potential manufacturing issues, liaise with project managers and suppliers, and update drawings based on feedback while maintaining timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in cabinetry, joinery or furniture manufacturing detailing/drafting.
• Experience producing documentation for a manufacturing or shop-floor environment.
• Experience using Cabinet Vision is highly regarded.
• Strong understanding of cabinetry construction, materials, hardware and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and plans.
• Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
• Good communication skills and ability to work with project managers, designers and suppliers.
• Competent with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed working and manufacturing drawings using Cabinet Vision
• Interpret architectural drawings, plans, specifications and design documentation
• Develop accurate cabinetry and joinery details ready for production
• Prepare CNC files and production documentation for the factory/shop floor
• Prepare Bills of Materials and hardware schedules for purchasing and production
• Ensure drawings accurately reflect dimensions, materials, finishes, hardware and construction requirements
• Review designs for potential manufacturing or installation issues before release to production
• Liaise with project managers, designers, suppliers and other stakeholders to obtain or clarify project-specific information
• Make drawing revisions and updates based on project changes or feedback
• Ensure documentation is complete, accurate and issued within required project timelines
