Job description

The Opportunity

Our partner is one of Australia’s largest B2B office supplies and business solutions provider, supporting SMEs, government sectors, education, business, and personal customers.They are seeking a detail-oriented Buying Assistant to support their Merchandise Department and contribute to product data accuracy and operational efficiency.

This role is perfect for someone with strong Excel skills, a keen eye for data integrity, and a proactive mindset. You’ll be responsible for managing product information, supporting supplier communications, and driving improvements in product management processes while working in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

ASW Global operates on a Hybrid model. During the probation period, you will be required to work full-time onsite. After this period, the role will transition to a hybrid model, with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home., with a regular shift schedule of 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM Manila time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate product data within thesystem, including setup of new items, cost updates, pricing, descriptions, and imagery.
  • Coordinate product and price changes, ensuring timely communication with stakeholders via internal platforms and weekly memos.
  • Monitor and review product exception reports to proactively identify and resolve data issues.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and marketing to provide accurate data and images, and review promotional materials for consistency.
  • Manage recurring and ad hoc reporting using Excel, supporting decision-making through data insights and analysis.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment with timely response to merchandise queries, participation in process improvements, and proactive communication across departments.

Skills, Experience & Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Procurement, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a data-driven, product coordination role within a retail or wholesale merchandising environment.
  • Hands-on experience with Product Information Management (PIM) systems or similar for maintaining product and supplier records.
  • Proven knowledge of pricing strategies, including margin management and cost updates.
  • Proficient in Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, and formatting; Macros experience is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented and accurate with large data sets; able to juggle tasks in a fast-paced setting.
  • Excellent communication skills, with experience in professional email correspondence and collaborating effectively with internal stakeholders.
  • Team player with a proactive mindset and ability to work independently.
