Job summary

Shein Group in Mexico seeks a fashion-forward Buying Specialist to identify and select merchandise that matches our brand aesthetic and shopper base. You will visit markets, assess suppliers, and help curate products that meet market demand.

You will track fashion trends, analyze data, and build strong relationships with vendors and designers while contributing to visual merchandising and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design.
• Strong knowledge of fashion trends, consumer behavior, and market analysis.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to manage budgets, forecast trends, and work under tight deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Fluent in English.
• Willing to travel to CDMX Tepito and Estado de Mexico.

Responsibilities

• Identify and select merchandise that aligns with our brand's aesthetic and customer base.
• Offline visit markets to evaluate and select suppliers to choose the best products
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of fashion trends, consumer behavior, and industry shifts.
• Monitor fashion trends and consumer preferences through various sources (fashion shows, social media, market research).
• Conduct analysis to forecast upcoming seasons’ collections, ensuring product selections align with market demand.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with store owners, manufacturers, and designers.
• Provide input on the visual merchandising of stores and online platforms.
• Prepare and present regular reports on purchasing activity and sales performance.
• Provide insights and recommendations for improving buying strategies and product assortment.
• Assist vendors in completing SHEIN account registration, product photography, product listing, and sales, resolving any issues encountered during the process.
