Job summary

Advanced Energy is seeking a Buyer to support supply chain and inventory operations, manage PO commitments, and assist in system updates. The role involves collaboration across procurement, planning, logistics, and support teams to optimize replenishment and ensure on-time delivery.

This on-site position is based in Rosario, Cavite, with responsibilities including PO rescheduling, expediting orders, and maintaining data accuracy.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
  • 1–2 years of experience in Purchasing, Procurement, Supply Chain, Inventory Control, or electronics manufacturing.
  • Exposure to purchasing/procurement functions and inventory management.
  • Proficient in Excel; working knowledge of Word and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to perform data encoding and transactional activities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Willing to work onsite in Rosario, Cavite.

Responsibilities

  • Support supplier delivery commitments by expediting orders and coordinating delivery negotiations.
  • Monitor purchase order commitments and delivery performance; escalate shortages.
  • Assist in inventory control by managing PO cancellations, reschedules and push-outs.
  • Coordinate abnormal freight requests and maintain freight tracking records.
  • Maintain and update purchasing data, reports, and master files.
  • Collaborate with procurement, planning, logistics to close key metrics.
  • Assist in system updates and parameter management for accuracy.
  • Support inventory control and freight-in management for cost efficiency.
  • Participate in continuous improvement within purchasing and supply chain.
  • Adhere to safety policies and participate in hazard identification and reporting.

Job description

Job Summary

TheBuyer supports supply chain and inventory operations by managing system updates, maintaining ordering parameters, and ensuring accurate purchase order (PO) commitments, including PO rescheduling and cancellations as required by business and system demands. Assists in inventory control activities and freight-in management to support material availability, inventory accuracy, and on-time delivery performance. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to maintain data integrity, optimize replenishment processes, and ensure efficient execution of procurement and logistics activities.

This position will report to Manager, Purchasing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support supplier delivery commitments by expediting orders and coordinating delivery negotiations during demand increases, pull-ins, and supply constraints.
  • Monitor purchase order commitments and delivery performance, escalating vendor decommitments, critical shortages, and high-risk materials as needed.
  • Assist in inventory control activities by managing purchase order cancellations, reschedules, and push-outs to minimize excess inventory and achieve inventory targets.
  • Consolidate and coordinate abnormal freight requests, ensuring timely routing approvals and maintaining premium freight tracking records.
  • Maintain and update purchasing and supply chain data, reports, and master files to support operational requirements.
  • Collaborate with procurement, planning, logistics, and support teams to drive closure of key purchasing metrics, including RDR, MRB, price discrepancies, and purchase order exposure.
  • Assist in system updates, data maintenance, and ordering parameter management to ensure planning and procurement accuracy.
  • Support inventory control and freight-in management activities to ensure material availability and cost-effective operations.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and process compliance activities within purchasing and supply chain operations.
  • Adhere to company safety policies and actively participate in hazard identification, risk assessment, incident prevention, and safety reporting programs.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or any related 4-year course.
  • Junior-level candidate with approximately 1-2 years of relevant experience in Purchasing, Procurement, Supply Chain, Inventory Control, or within the Electronics Manufacturing Industry.
  • Exposure to purchasing/procurement functions, inventory management, purchasing systems, and basic commodity management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel with strong analytical skills, including data analysis and reporting; working knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
  • Comfortable performing data encoding and transactional activities in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, planning, negotiation, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Self-driven, results-oriented team player who can work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities.
  • Flexible, eager to learn, and willing to take on operational and administrative responsibilities.
  • Willing to render extended working hours when required, particularly during system updates, critical operational activities, and project deadlines.
  • Demonstrates professionalism, integrity, accountability, and a strong commitment to continuous improvement and collaboration.
  • Willing to be assigned to a full-time, onsite position at Rosario, Cavite site.
