Strategic Staffing Solutions in the Philippines is seeking an experienced Business / Systems Analyst to bridge business needs and technical solutions within an Agile delivery environment. You will work closely with business stakeholders, Product Owners, developers, QA teams, and other technology partners to translate business requirements into clear, actionable deliverables.
This role will cover requirements analysis, user story development, backlog management, sprint and PI planning, testing

We are looking for an experienced Business / Systems Analyst to bridge business needs and technical solutions within an Agile delivery environment. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, Product Owners, developers, QA teams, and other technology partners to translate business requirements into clear, actionable deliverables.
This role will be responsible for requirements analysis, user story development, backlog management, sprint and Program Increment (PI) planning, testing coordination, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). The ideal candidate has strong experience supporting mobile applications, customer-facing digital products, or e-commerce platforms and can quickly understand complex business processes and systems.
- Elicit, analyze, validate, and document business and system requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs, processes, and expected outcomes.
- Translate requirements into well-defined user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Define appropriate scope and help prioritize features based on business value and objectives.
- Identify gaps, dependencies, risks, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Create, refine, maintain, and prioritize user stories, tasks, and backlog items.
- Participate in and support Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, and PI Planning.
- Work with Product Owners and engineering teams to ensure backlog readiness.
- Support capacity planning and track Agile delivery metrics such as story points and velocity.
- Monitor delivery progress and proactively identify risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Develop and support functional and system testing strategies.
- Work closely with QA teams to ensure requirements are properly translated into test scenarios.
- Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business stakeholders.
- Validate that delivered solutions meet business requirements and defined acceptance criteria.
- Assist with defect analysis, resolution, and retesting as required.
- Serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams.
- Facilitate discussions to clarify requirements, priorities, scope, and expected outcomes.
- Communicate requirements and project status clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Provide continuous clarification and feedback throughout the solution delivery lifecycle.
- Develop a strong understanding of business processes, applications, and supporting systems.
- Quickly learn new business domains, particularly trading, shipping, logistics, or enterprise operations.
- Analyze business workflows and system interactions to identify improvement opportunities.
- Understand how applications, integrations, and data flows support business processes.
- Identify opportunities to improve business processes, Agile delivery practices, and system capabilities.
- Maintain accurate requirements, process, testing, and knowledge documentation.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the product and delivery lifecycle.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, or similar role in an Agile environment.
- Strong experience in requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation.
- Demonstrated experience creating user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Experience with backlog management and Agile delivery practices.
- Experience supporting Sprint Planning, PI Planning, and capacity management.
- Experience defining or supporting testing strategies and UAT.
- Proven experience working with both business stakeholders and technical teams.
- Experience supporting business analysis or project delivery for mobile applications, digital products, customer-facing applications, or e-commerce platforms.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with SAFe, Scrum, or other Agile frameworks.
- Experience using Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar Agile delivery tools.
- Familiarity with enterprise applications supporting trading, shipping, logistics, or supply chain operations.
- Understanding of system integrations, APIs, data flows, and application dependencies.
- Exposure to test management frameworks and QA processes.
- Experience working in large enterprise or complex technology environments.
- Ability to quickly learn new business processes and translate them into effective technology solutions.
