Job summary

Satellite Office is recruiting a BI Developer to join our IT & Digital team in a hybrid setup. You will transform data from across the firm into reliable reports and dashboards, working with stakeholders to deliver actionable insights.

You will partner with the Senior BI Analyst to uplift reporting capabilities, ensure governance, and produce high‑quality outputs that support operational and strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• Strong SQL querying and data extraction.
• Experience building reports and dashboards in Microsoft and SAP environments.
• Proficiency with Power BI, Power Query, and DAX.
• Effective communication with senior and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Understanding of data privacy and governance.

Responsibilities

• Extract, model and analyse data from multiple internal systems to support reporting needs.
• Design, build and maintain reports, dashboards using Microsoft/SAP tools.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into outputs.
• Support delivery of recurring reports and reporting initiatives.
• Document data models, reporting logic and SQL queries for continuity.
• Apply appropriate judgement when handling sensitive data.

WHAT IS A BI DEVELOPER?

Our awesome client, a leading managed services provider based in Australia is looking for a BI Developer to be part of their team.

• The organization is seeking a BI Analyst/Developer to join our IT & Digital team, working closely with our existing reporting capability to uplift insight, consistency and delivery capacity.

• Reporting to the Business Solutions Manager, this role focuses on transforming data from across the firm into clear, reliable reporting that supports operational and strategic decision-making. You will work directly with the Senior BI Analyst and business stakeholders to understand what they need, build and maintain high-quality reports and dashboards, and ensure reporting assets are well-governed and sustainable.

WHAT WILL BE YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES?

• Extract, model and analyse data from multiple internal systems to support business reporting needs

• Design, build and maintain high‑quality reports, dashboards and visualisations using Microsoft and SAP‑aligned tools

• Partner with stakeholders across the firm to clarify reporting requirements and translate them into practical, easy‑to‑interpret outputs

• Support delivery of key reporting initiatives and recurring reports

• Maintain clear documentation of data models, reporting logic, SQL queries and dashboard versions to support continuity and auditability

• Apply appropriate judgement when working with sensitive data

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• Strong SQL capability for data querying and extraction

• Proven experience developing high‑quality reports and dashboards in Microsoft and SAP‑based environments

• Hands‑on experience with tools such as Power BI, Power Query, DAX, S/4HANA, MS Fabric and Azure Data Factory

• Clear, confident communication skills, particularly when working with senior or non‑technical stakeholders

• Strong analytical thinking, problem‑solving ability and attention to detail

• An understanding of data privacy, confidentiality and appropriate handling of sensitive information

• Proactive mindset, with a willingness to take initiative and get involved

Desirable:

• Experience in a professional services firm

• A qualification in Information Technology or a related discipline

• Experience using version control and build tools

• Curiosity about data, analytics and emerging technologies
