Job summary

Motolite is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to design and maintain data pipelines, models, and reporting that turn operational data into insights. You will build dashboards, optimize data flows, and enforce governance to empower cross-functional teams.

The role involves ETL from ERP and production systems, SQL querying, and deploying dashboards in Power BI, Tableau, and Excel. You will collaborate with IT and data teams to integrate BI with data lakes and cloud warehouses.

Qualifications

• Graduate of science/engineering courses related to data analytics.
• Internships or certifications in BI or data analytics are an advantage.
• Strong SQL, BI tool experience, and data modeling skills.

Responsibilities

• ETL data from ERP, MES, production systems into centralized data models.
• Design and optimize data models, queries, and database structures.
• Write and tune complex SQL queries and ETL workflows.
• Develop BI dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, and Excel.
• Implement data governance with access controls, lineage, and QA.
• Collaborate with IT and data teams to integrate BI with data lakes/warehouses.
• Automate recurring reporting and analytics with scripting/workflows.
• Monitor BI infrastructure, optimize query performance and refresh cycles.
• Produce technical documentation of architectures, dictionaries, mappings, and workflows.

Job Summary:

The Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines, models, and reporting solutions that transform operational and enterprise data into actionable insights. By building dashboards, optimizing data flows, and enforcing governance standards, the BI Analyst enables cross-functional teams to drive efficiency, performance, and data-driven decision‑making across the enterprise.

1. Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from ERP, MES, production systems, and cloud platforms into centralized data models, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.

2. Design, develop, and optimize data models, queries, and database structures (SQL, time‑series, relational) to support analytics and self‑service reporting.

3. Write and tune complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and ETL workflows for high‑volume data extraction, transformation, and load operations.

4. Design, deploy, and manage enterprise BI dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, and Excel with DAX, Power Query, or equivalent scripting.

5. Implement data governance frameworks, including role‑based access, audit controls, data lineage, and quality assurance processes.

6. Collaborate with IT and data engineering teams to integrate BI solutions with cloud data lakes, data warehouses, and streaming data sources.

7. Automate recurring reporting and analytics processes using BI scripting, Python/R, or workflow automation tools to reduce manual interventions.

8. Monitor and troubleshoot BI infrastructure, optimizing query performance, report refresh cycles, and pipeline runtimes.

9. Provide technical documentation of BI architectures, data dictionaries, ETL mappings, and integration workflows for operational continuity.

10. Research, evaluate, and deploy emerging BI and cloud analytics technologies to enhance scalability and analytical capabilities.

11. Perform other tasks as needed to support data‑driven initiatives and business objectives.

Formal Education:

• Graduate of science/engineering courses related to data analytics, e.g. Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, Data Science or other analogous courses

Experience:

• No prior experience required; internships, academic projects, or certifications in business intelligence, data analytics, or process optimization are an advantage.

Training/Skills:

• Proficiency in SQL for querying, data transformation, and performance optimization.
• Skilled in building dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI tools.
• Experience with data modeling and ETL/integration workflows.
• Familiarity with cloud BI and data services (Azure Synapse, Databricks, AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery, or equivalent).
• Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance requirements in BI systems.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to validate data accuracy and interpret results.
• Strong skills in documentation, stakeholder engagement, and presentations.
