Job summary

TaskUs in the Philippines is seeking a Business Insights Analyst to shape data-driven strategy. You will mentor stakeholders, sculpt narratives from complex datasets, and influence executive decisions from night-shift hubs such as Imus, Cavite or Ortigas.

You will lead reporting roadmaps, oversee dashboards, collaborate with Data Visualization and Engineering teams, translate business needs into technical specs, and govern insights to uncover growth opportunities and risks.

Qualifications

• Statistical modeling and data analysis to improve classifiers and dashboards.
• Intermediate SQL to query labeling data for dashboards.
• Data visualization using Looker Studio, Tableau, or Power BI to create actionable dashboards.

Responsibilities

• Focus on strategic influence, mentorship, and high-level stakeholder management.
• Architect data-driven narratives that translate complex datasets into high-level business stories, influencing executive strategy.
• Oversee the synthesis of complex data into actionable frameworks and prioritize insights by business impact.
• Serve as the primary consultant to business partners, translating findings into executive-ready next steps and roadmaps.
• Define the roadmap for ad-hoc and automated reporting, ensuring outputs align with KPIs and long-term objectives.
• Lead collaborations with Data Visualization and Engineering teams to build scalable, repeatable reporting ecosystems.
• Bridge the gap between technical teams and business units by translating requirements into robust specs.
• Direct the integration of disparate data sources and the development of strategic assumptions to identify opportunities and risks.

• Reporting Strategy & Oversight: Define the roadmap for ad-hoc and automated reporting, ensuring all outputs align with core business KPIs and long-term objectives.
• Cross-Functional Orchestration: Lead collaborations with Data Visualization and Engineering teams to build scalable, repeatable reporting ecosystems that maintain high standards of data hygiene and trend discovery.
• Technical Liaison: Bridge the gap between technical teams and business units by translating high-level business requirements into robust technical specifications and vice versa.
• Insight Governance: Direct the integration of disparate data sources and the development of strategic assumptions to identify untapped market opportunities and business risks.

Must-Have Core Competencies:

• Statistical Modeling & Analysis: Ability to run rigorous statistical analysis on labeling outputs and determine the exact testing or sampling needed to improve the classifiers.
• Intermediate SQL: Ability to independently query and extract raw labeling data to serve as the source of our dashboards and reports.
• Data Visualization: Proficiency in tools like Looker Studio, Tableau, or Power BI to translate complex statistical findings into clear, actionable dashboards.

Optional Skills:

• Foundational ML / NLP Evaluation: Understanding of core machine learning metrics (Precision, Recall, F1 scores, etc.) to properly evaluate classifier performance and familiarity with the technical concepts and language.
• A/B Testing Framework Design: Experience setting up control groups for process changes.
• Root Cause Analysis: Ability to transition the role from simply reporting numbers to identifying the cause of errors.

Education / Certifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in ECE, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or any IT / Computer-related course.
