Job Summary

We are seeking a Business Development Specialist to drive growth in our Foodservice & Bakery segments. This role involves end-to-end sourcing and trading, principal/supplier management, product documentation and testing, providing technical sales support, and conducting market intelligence to identify new opportunities and ensure the company stays ahead of competition.

Key Responsibilities
  • End-to-End Sourcing & Trading:
    • Identify demand through sales needs, trends, or new products from suppliers.
    • Hunt for new suppliers & principals.
    • Coordinate testing and sampling.
    • Monitor shipments from source to warehouse.
    • Work closely with Supply Chain on purchase requests, forecasts, and inventory.
  • Principals / Supplier Management:
    • Accredit suppliers and products (internal and with government bodies).
    • Build and maintain exclusivity with principals.
    • Monitor and assure continuity of projects.
  • Documentation, Testing & Development:
    • Create, maintain, and update the traded database.
    • Review technical documents from principals.
    • Conduct in-house testing and qualification for new products (with Product Design/R&D).
    • Create evidence-based materials, presentations, and technical sheets.
  • Technical Sales Support:
    • Work closely with the sales team to introduce new products to industrial and bakery clients.
    • Serve as the point person for client R&D and Product Development teams' queries and technical support.
    • Conduct research and testing to fit products with client needs (modifications, tweaking, re-classification).
  • Market Intelligence & Study
    • Assist the Business Development Manager in monitoring innovation funnel projects.
    • Conduct feasibility studies (Market & Industry Analysis, Product & Technology Analysis, Legal & Regulatory Check).
    • Regularly research trends, new product launches, and new technology.
    • Analyze data and trends to maintain competitive advantage.
