Job description
Overview

The Business Development Specialist role is a product-oriented role, reporting to the Business Unit Head. The role is in charge of general management, end-to-end strategy, and execution of all activities related to the business development of the products in scope.

Responsibilities
  • Sales - ensures overall sales targets of the products are met.
  • Profitability - ensures overall profitability of the products are met.
  • Demand Generation - strategizes and executes demand generating activities, including but not limited to: listing/expansion, trade marketing, promotions, above-the-line marketing, digital marketing, all based on consumer insights and spotting of opportunities.
  • Healthy Stock Level - ensures that stock levels of all SKUs of the products are healthy by working closely with the supply chain department.
  • Returns Management - ensures that returns are managed to a healthy level by ensuring healthy stock levels, products are distributed to the right stores, and stocks are managed well.
  • Budget Management - ensures that activities are executed within agreed budget.
  • Supplier/Principal management - ensures a healthy and mutually beneficial relationship between the principal/s and Linkage through regular and timely communication, reporting, and presentation.
  • Reporting/Presentation/Stakeholder Management - ensures all relevant stakeholders are informed, consulted, and involved in all major developments of the brand. This includes regular business reviews and analysis of performance.
