Overview
The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities for the office and home furniture market. This role focuses on expanding the company’s client base, building long-term partnerships, and increasing revenue through strategic sales initiatives, networking, and market development.
New Business Development
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in corporate, residential, and institutional markets.
- Research and target potential clients, including architects, designers, contractors, and corporate decision-makers.
- Develop tailored proposals and presentations to win new projects.
Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
- Understand client needs and propose furniture solutions that align with design, functionality, and budget.
- Ensure client satisfaction through consistent communication and after-sales service.
Market Expansion
- Develop strategies to penetrate new markets and increase market share in the office and home furniture sectors.
- Attend industry events, exhibitions, and networking activities to promote the company’s products and services.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to inform business strategies.
Sales & Revenue Growth
- Work closely with the sales and design teams to secure and execute projects.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to close profitable deals.
- Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
Reporting & Coordination
- Provide regular sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and business development updates to management.
- Coordinate with marketing for promotional campaigns and lead generation activities.
- Collaborate with production and logistics to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
Experience
- Minimum of 5–7 years’ experience in business development or sales, preferably in the furniture, interior design, or construction industry.
- Proven track record in securing high-value projects and growing market presence.
