Our Technology and Productivity Team is looking for experienced professionals to join us in Makati in the role of Business Analyst (Planning and Governance).

In this role, you will act as a liaison between IT and business units to develop or enhance systems and technology, identifying, evaluating, and documenting both articulated and unarticulated business and systems requirements. You will prepare functional specifications and gap analyses to guide solution development and collaborate with technical and non-technical SMEs to recommend solutions or alternatives.

What the role will entail

  • Study business strategy, drivers, priorities, and current processes, including business continuity.
  • Understand external interfaces (BancNet, PCHC, BTr BSP) affecting internal processes and the functional capabilities of solutions in the Bank's ecosystem (e.g., T24, Narada, FinnOne, Sapphire, OSX).
  • Validate Concept Papers for feasibility, technology assumptions, and NPV.
  • Document information and data requirements, including regulatory, risk management, and compliance impacts.
  • Assist in developing and vetting Business Requirements Documents (BRD) and translating them into Functional Specification Documents (FSD) and Gap Analyses Documents (GAD).
  • Address Quality Assurance, Compliance, and Audit observations to ensure adherence to the Banks standards.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelors or Post Graduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, Finance, or Business Management.
  • At least 3 years of experience in two IT disciplines (e.g., Applications Development, Project Management, QA, Support) or 5 years in business disciplines (Risk Management, Audit, Governance).
  • Minimum 1 year as a business analyst on a large project (involving at least 3 critical business processes).
  • Experienced team contributor in cross-functional teams.
  • Strong soft skills in communication, problem-solving, decision-making, negotiation, and financial analysis.
  • Knowledge of retail/corporate banking, loans, consumer financing, wealth management, and marketing is preferred; familiarity with Core Banking Systems (CASA, Loans, Credit Cards) is required.
  • Knowledge of banking processes, regulatory environment, and Core Banking Systems (T24, Narada) is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of project delivery methodologies (e.g., PMI, PRINCE2, SCRUM) and Business Process Modelling (BPM) methodologies.
  • Membership in relevant professional bodies and certifications (CBAP, SCRUM) is advantageous.
