Responsibilities

• Fare Management: Collect fares, issue tickets/passes, verify ticket validity, and handle cash/electronic payment systems accurately.
• Passenger Assistance: Help passengers board/alight (especially those with disabilities, elderly, or carrying luggage), provide route/schedule information, and address inquiries or complaints.
• Safety & Order: Monitor passenger behavior to enforce safety rules, conduct pre-trip checks of equipment (e.g., doors, seats), signal drivers to proceed safely, and report incidents or vehicle issues promptly.
• Administrative Tasks: Maintain records of fares collected, assist with vehicle cleanliness, and comply with company policies and regulatory guidelines.

Legal & Licensing (Philippines-Specific):

• Conductor’s License: Mandatory from the Land Transportation Office (LTO)
• Medical certificate from an LTO-accredited clinic (proving physical/mental fitness)
• Completion of the Conductor’s Theoretical Course (CTC) at LTO or accredited driving schools
• Ability to read/write in Filipino or English
• Clean traffic record with no unresolved violations or substance abuse history
• Compliance with DOLE Department Order No. 118-12 (governing employment terms for public utility bus conductors)

Educational & Skills:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent
