Converge ICT Solutions Inc. seeks a BU Governance Manager to drive enterprise governance adoption within the Business Unit and align with organizational portfolio objectives.
The role links ePMO via Organizational Portfolio Office, ensuring compliance with standards and integration with PMO delivery. It promotes best practices, standardizes processes, and strengthens BU PMO capabilities for compliant, consistent project execution.
The BU Governance Manager is responsible for driving the adoption and consistent application of enterprise governance frameworks, standards, and methodologies within the Business Unit. Embedded within the BU PMO, the role serves as the key link between the ePMO (via the Organizational Portfolio Office) and the BU, ensuring alignment with enterprise governance requirements, compliance with established standards, and integration with overall portfolio objectives.
The role also promotes governance best practices, supports process standardization, and strengthens PMO capabilities within the BU—enabling effective, compliant, and consistent program and project delivery in line with enterprise governance policies and frameworks.
Implement and uphold enterprise project governance frameworks within the Business Unit, including stage gates and approval requirements.
Ensure all projects and programs within the Business Unit adhere to enterprise governance policies, standards, and methodologies.
Facilitate BU-level governance forums and decision checkpoints in alignment with enterprise requirements.
Apply enterprise governance documentation standards within the Business Unit's programs and projects.
Coordinate portfolio-level audit readiness across BU PMOs.
Implement the enterprise project risk management framework within the BU.
Monitor and consolidate BU-level project risks, escalating significant or systemic issues to the ePMO.
Ensure adherence to enterprise change governance processes and approval protocols within the BU.
Assess and align BU project governance and delivery processes with enterprise standards.
Support the adoption and consistent use of enterprise PM methodologies, standards, and guidelines.
Drive standardization of processes within the BU while ensuring compliance with enterprise frameworks.
Identify and recommend improvements to enhance governance effectiveness and delivery consistency within the BU.
Promote project delivery governance best practices within the BU.
Facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration within the BU and contribute to cross-BU learning initiatives led by the ePMO.
Support BU portfolio planning, project intake, and prioritization in alignment with enterprise frameworks.
Facilitate BU-level governance forums and contribute inputs to enterprise decision-making bodies.
Monitor BU portfolio health and highlight governance-related issues or risks for escalation.
Ensure compliance with enterprise reporting standards and governance dashboards within the BU.
Validate that project financial and governance reporting meets enterprise requirements.
Track and report BU performance against defined enterprise governance and delivery KPIs.
Communicate enterprise governance policies, standards, and updates within the BU.
Support governance-related training, awareness, and capability development for BU stakeholders.
Identify governance capability gaps within the BU and collaborate with the ePMO to address them.
Ensure BU adoption of enterprise-approved project management tools and governance requirements.
Support effective use of tools to enable governance processes, reporting accuracy, and portfolio visibility within the BU.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Engineering, or a related field.
5-8 years of experience in project, program, or portfolio management within a PMO environment.
Experience in project governance frameworks and PMO operating models.
Experience supporting multi-BU or federated PMO structures is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of project governance frameworks and PM methodologies.
Experience designing and implementing PMO governance standards and processes.
Strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills.
Experience with portfolio reporting, governance dashboards, and KPI frameworks.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Certifications from Project Management Institute such as Project Management Professional (PMP).
Knowledge of enterprise PMO practices such as P3O (Portfolio, Programme and Project Offices) frameworks.
