Job summary

Capital Industries, Inc. in the Philippines seeks a detail-oriented Branch Accountant to support our local accounting team. You will ensure accurate branch sales recording, receivables monitoring, cash handling, and timely reporting of variances and expenditures.

You will manage accounts payable, petty cash, inventory and fixed assets, and assist with adjustments; collaboration with Main Office is essential for compliance and controls.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail with ability to detect and report accounting discrepancies.
• High integrity, accountability, confidentiality, and professionalism.
• Ability to work independently at the branch following accounting policies and internal controls.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
• Good written and verbal communication skills; coordinate with branch personnel and Main Office.
• At least 1-3 years of relevant accounting experience.

Responsibilities

• Record and monitor all branch sales transactions.
• Ensure all sales are supported by approved sales orders, delivery receipts, invoices, and documents.
• Prepare the Branch Sales Report and submit by the deadline.
• Maintain a record of all branch customer receivables.
• Monitor customer accounts and outstanding balances; coordinate overdue accounts.
• Prepare or assist in preparing the collection report.
• Record all cash and check collections; ensure timely deposits.
• Reconcile branch collections with bank records; report discrepancies to Main Office Account.
• Receive and check documents for branch expenses and purchases.
• Verify completeness of Purchase Request, Purchase Order, Delivery Receipt.
• Identify significant variances in invoices; notify Main Office Accounting.
• Monitor unbudgeted expenditures and ensure approvals.
• Prepare payment vouchers or requests; submit documents to Main Office Accounting.
• Check petty cash liquidation; reconcile cash on hand with receipts.
• Conduct periodic cash counts and report shortages.
• Reconcile inventory records with accounting; monitor movements.
• Assist in physical inventory counts; investigate variances.
• Maintain fixed assets listing; report missing assets; ensure proper approvals for capital expenditures.
