Job summary

Amentum seeks a BOSC Front Desk Clerk to support a US Navy program on Diego Garcia. Responsibilities include answering calls, scheduling, travel planning, EH&S coordination, and providing administrative support to executive staff.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of administrative support experience in a professional setting.
  • Proficient with computer systems and advanced typing skills.
  • Must have a valid passport and be able to travel internationally.

Responsibilities

Job Description:

Amentum, a global leader in advanced engineering, technical, and professional services serving the US government, allies, and critical infrastructure sectors, is seeking aBOSC Front Desk Clerkto support a unique US Navy program on the island of Diego Garcia. The BOSC Front Desk Clerk will be responsible for answering phone calls and taking messages, scheduling appointments, making travel arrangements, scheduling EH&S activities, planning and coordinating team building events, and providing administrative support to executive staff with office management responsibilities.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Answer incoming phone calls and accurately record and relay messages.
  • Schedule and coordinate appointments, meetings, and other activities.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements, including itineraries and related information.
  • Provide administrative support using Microsoft Office applications. Create and maintain Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, and PowerPoint presentations.
  • Manage stakeholder calendars, ensuring accurate scheduling and coordination of meetings.
  • Prepare, capture, and distribute meeting minutes and action items to appropriate personnel.
  • Submit, track, and maintain work orders, requests, and other documentation.
  • Dispatch facilities technicians in response to maintenance requests and operational needs.
  • Coordinate with operations personnel to manage uniforms, lockers, and equipment inventory.
  • Plan and coordinante team building activities and employee engagement events.
  • Schedule and support Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S) activities and related initiatives.
  • Provide administrative support to executive staff, including office management and coordination responsibilities.
  • Maintain and update personnel records while ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of employee information.
  • Support assigned projects by conducting research, preparing reports, developing charts, and creating presentation materials.
  • Perform other duties, special projects, and administrative tasks as assigned to support operations and organizational goals.
Required Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and other related software tools.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Education, Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Technical Studies, Communications, Computer Science, Construction Management, or a related field. Equivalent work experience and relevant professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience providing administrative support in a professional environment.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with computer systems and advanced typing skills.
  • Must possess a valid passport and be able to travel internationally as required. Passport must be valid for minimum of one (1) year from the date of hire.
  • Ability to successfully complete and maintain all contract required medical qualifications throughout the duration of deployment.
  • Must obtain and maintain required facility credentials, clearances, and/or access authorizations.
  • Must be able to speak, read, and comprehend English.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience utilizing MAXIMO or similar computerized maintenance management systems in preferred but not required.

A valid driver’s license to legally operate a motor vehicle.

Country visa (as required in line with the U.S. Department of State Foreign Clearance Guide).

Prior experience working in an austere overseas (OCONUS) environment supporting a multi national workforce.

Strong organizational, time management, communication, and customer service skills.
