Job summary

Vestas is seeking a Substation Equipment Technician in the Philippines to apply technical expertise for reliability and asset performance across wind farm infra. You will coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver safe, compliant maintenance.

The role emphasizes practical troubleshooting of switchgear, RMUs, and related transmission components, with a focus on documenting progress and ensuring operational excellence within the local grid context.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering or BSc in Electrical Engineering required.
• Experience in operation and maintenance of Pooling Substations, RMU and internal transmission lines preferred.
• Knowledge of local grid compliance (NGCP) and safety regulations for grid systems in the Philippines.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and breakdown maintenance on substations and related BOP equipment.
• Supervise service activities for BOP equipment and coordinate with subcontractors.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures including LOTO and PPE usage.
• Maintain accurate daily documentation like PTW, checklists, and grid data.
