Qualifications

• Experience as a Boom Truck Operator or Heavy Truck Driver (1–2+ years).
• Valid Professional Driver's License with heavy vehicle restriction codes.
• High School Diploma.

Responsibilities

• Operate boom trucks safely and efficiently to transport and position heavy materials and equipment on construction sites.
• Conduct pre-operation inspections of boom truck equipment to ensure all safety systems and mechanical components are functioning correctly.
• Communicate effectively with site supervisors, riggers and other team members to coordinate lifting operations and ensure precise placement of loads.
• Follow all safety protocols, regulations and company procedures at all times to maintain a secure work environment.
• Position the boom truck and stabilisers correctly to maintain stability during loading, transport and unloading operations.
• Monitor load securing procedures and ensure all loads are properly balanced and restrained.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of the boom truck to maintain its operational condition.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and report any equipment defects or malfunctions to supervisors.
• Perform other duties as assigned
