Job summary

TOA Global Cebu hub is seeking an Intermediate Bookkeeper with 1–2 years of Australian bookkeeping experience to manage day-to-day client portfolios, prepare draft BAS/IAS, and collaborate with onshore Senior Bookkeepers.

You will work a daytime hybrid schedule (7:00 AM–4:00 PM PHT) with exposure to Australian GST, PAYG, and BAS/IAS reporting, using Xero/MYOB/QBO, plus benefits like 21 leave and health coverage.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of hands-on Australian bookkeeping experience.
• Solid understanding of Australian GST principles, PAYG withholding, and BAS/IAS reporting rules.
• Proficiency with cloud bookkeeping platforms (Xero, MYOB, QBO).
• Strong written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end client bookkeeping for a portfolio of Australian businesses.
• Prepare draft BAS and IAS for review by Senior Bookkeepers.
• Collaborate with onshore Australian teams to resolve queries and ensure correct transaction coding.
• Manage multiple client files, maintaining filing schedules and quality standards.
• Act on review notes to improve workflow accuracy and Australian accounting practices.

We are seeking a detail-oriented, self-motivated Intermediate Bookkeeper with Australian accounting experience to join our team. You will manage day-to-day bookkeeping functions for small client portfolios, prepare draft BAS/IAS filings, and collaborate closely with onshore team members and Senior Bookkeepers to maintain accurate ledgers and timely compliance.

Your Impact

• Client Bookkeeping Management: Oversee end-to-end bookkeeping functions for a portfolio of small Australian business clients, ensuring bank accounts, sales, and expenses are accurately reconciled.
• BAS & IAS Preparation: Prepare draft Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Income Activity Statements (IAS) for review by Senior Bookkeepers and Practice Managers.
• Onshore Team Collaboration: Maintain open, proactive communication with onshore Australian accounting teams to resolve queries, clarify transaction coding, and gather supporting documentation.
• Multi-Client Portfolio Oversight: Manage multiple client file workflows efficiently, maintaining strict adherence to filing schedules and internal quality standards.
• Continuous Improvement: Act on review notes and technical guidance to refine workflow accuracy and expand understanding of Australian accounting practices.

What You Bring

• The Experience: 1 to 2 years of hands-on Australian bookkeeping experience, ideally within public practice accounting or an outsourced accounting firm.
• Technical Knowledge: Solid working understanding of Australian GST principles, PAYG withholding, and BAS/IAS reporting rules.
• Software Proficiency: High proficiency in cloud bookkeeping platforms, particularly Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks Online (QBO).
• Core Competencies: Strong numeric accuracy, sharp attention to detail, efficient multi-tasking skills, and excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Reporting & Collaboration: Comfortable working under the guidance of a Senior Bookkeeper or Bookkeeping Supervisor while managing day-to-day tasks independently.
