Reporting to the General Manager, this role will be a core part of the leadership team, being responsible for developing and implementing OPEX strategies to drive sustainable improvements that directly impact financial results.

As The OPEX Manager You Will Be Responsible To:

  • Create and deploy an Opex strategy that supports business goals.
  • Manage and drive change within the business.
  • Enthusiastically champion Lean/ Six Sigma/ Zero Defects/ 80:20 and other data driven improvement methodologies.
  • Develop, coach and mentor Opex skills within others.
  • Ensure the timely delivery of projects that meet or exceed agreed metrics or goals.

To be considered for the OPEX Manager role, here’s what you need to bring with you:

Education: Graduate of any engineering course with Lean Sigma Master Black Belt Certification. Preferably Lean Sigma Master Black Belt Accredited.

Experience: At least 10 yrs experience in a Manufacturing Environment as a Project Leader for initiatives similar or equivalent to Opex activities. Project management knowledge is an advantage. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate strong process leadership and business acumen.

The Opex Manager is most often referred to as a change agent. This role requires the agility to quickly change gears between fast paced tactical improvements and long-range strategic planning all whilst bringing a team of 1500 along on the journey.
