This position is responsible for performing a variety of technical procedures and assisting medical professionals in providing quality patient care. The Medical Technician will work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff to ensure the accurate and timely collection, processing, and analysis of patient samples and data.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of technical procedures, including but not limited to:
- Collect and prepare patient specimens for laboratory analysis.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
- Perform quality control checks on laboratory procedures and equipment.
- Maintain accurate and complete patient records.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
- Assist with patient education and preparation for procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.
- Assist with other duties as assigned.
Education:
- Associate's Degree in Medical Technology or related field
