Overview

Role: BIM Modeler for OVERHEAD CATENARY SYSTEM (OCS) in BIM deliverables including coordination, 4D simulation, and asset tagging.

Responsibilities

• Model elements creation within the OVERHEAD CATENARY SYSTEM (OCS) in accordance with the project intent, approved materials, and equipment.
• Prepare the view template/sheet view for the BIM model.
• 3D model development of the OCS to meet the design development and LoD specifications.
• Maintain all sub-system models with correct georeferencing or project coordinates.
• Perform interference checks within the OCS model and submit to MVDE BIM Coordinator for review.
• Share the latest model with TRW & OCS BIM Coordinator to prepare the coordination model.
• Coordinate with TRW & OCS BIM Coordinator to resolve system model issues.
• Follow the schedule and due dates for BIM deliverables as set by Subsystem Manager/engineer and reviewed by BIM Manager.
• Maintain the quality of the OCS model (LoG – Level of Geometry & LoI – Level of Information).
• Ensure zero clashes within the subsystem model and prevent clashes with other systems.
• Integrate asset information into the OCS model, complying with the client’s Asset Requirements.
• Update the final model deliverables to reflect as-constructed conditions and obtain validation from the Civil Contractor at handover.
• Extract COBie spreadsheets from the OCS model for MVDE BIM Coordinator’s review prior to approval submission.
• Prepare necessary documents for submission, including converting the model to 2D.
• Prepare the OCS model for TRW & OCS BIM teams.
• Coordinate uploads to ProjectWise under WIP/Shared prior to review by TRW & OCS Manager.
• Update TRW & OCS BIM Coordinator or BIM Manager on work progress.

Qualifications

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management

Desired Knowledge / Experience

• At least 3 years’ experience in BIM modelling
• Experience using Autodesk Revit and Civil 3D
• Good level of English
• Knowledge of Railway Subsystems / Civil and Structures / Electrical & Mechanical (E&M)
• Knowledge of BIM process
• Independence and ability to work in a team
• Conscientious and rigorous in work
• Understanding of parametric object-based models, design, and construction models
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge in Bentley OpenRail Designer (ORD) is an added advantage
